quilt block "star of hope"

older stuff i actually did some time ago:

this is a first try to make a "real" block: a star, called "star of hope", found over at the great blog from Amandajean from crazy mom quilts.
last year she led a quilt-along with all kinds of great star-blocks and i am planning to try some more.
and with these "real" blocks there´s always the exciting moment to find out if everything fits together - in this case it did - well, almost :-), i "lost" a quarter of an inch in width in the whole piece, but so what. as long as i manage to do that the next time, too, everything will be fine!

i don´t know what i will actually do with it but some day it will dawn on me (can you say that? it sounds quite nice.. :-).

and looking at these pictures reminds me that i really, really have to start working on my fotography-skills cause the colors are so much prettier in reality that these pics are quite a shame..

so: sorry to Jennifer Paganelli (Georgie Bouquet Fuchsia, the pink fabric), Heather Bailey (Bijoux, Tiled Primrose Yellow) and Anna Maria Horner (Garden Party, dance floor burgundy)
