wip - half hexes and baby red+pink quilts

i sewed and ironed 6 rows of the half-hexes quilt today - oh my, and there are 23 more to go..

plus some frame for the hexes. plus all the rest.
well, good for me that i love, love, love those fake hexagons!! the fabric is so much fun and it really fits the hexagon-style!

and then i got to the quilting of the baby red+pink circle quilt. remember, i had 8 circles and was planning to make a little carpet for my bedroom. but when i layed it out it just looked like a setting for the infamous Prinzessin Lillyfee character
:-) and that´s really not me, my new-found love for red/pink hin oder her.
so i made another circle, ripped the "carpet" and made this baby-quilt top.
the quilting follows the squares on the inside and the circles on the outside. the backing is a very sweet white poplin with multicolored dots.
for the batting i used polyester-fleece to keep it light and easily washable.
