it is my 4th quilt ever. i used the funky christmas line by Michael Miller, a no-name red solid for the stars, squares and binding, and some Robert Kaufmann Essex linen-cotton blend for the sashing. the batting is a 80/20 wool/polyester mix for warmth.
i quilted it in straight lines, again because i like the look and i do not dare right now to try something else.
the backing was supposed to be the top first but i thought it too boring and came up with those 9 bright red star-blocks plus three squares with a little red square in the middle.
the blocks are about 30cm² or 11 3/4"², and i even signed the quilt with machine-writing which turned out a bit wonky. but you get the point :-)
i really really love this one, so now i am ready and set for christmas :-)
