big, big shopping bag

this will be an after-christmas gift for a guy - therefor no flowers or the kind :-)
the bag is quite big, i did the insides with french seams, which are very pretty and clean looking.
i ironed the handles and sewed them together while attaching them to the bag - never did that before, but it worked out fine and looks good: it spared me a few sewing lines which tend to look a bit messy with this thick cotton.

shopping bag

it actually took me quite some hours to make this bag, i ripped some seams until it looked the way i wanted it to be - however it was fun sewing it. it is so nice to combine stuff i already know with some new experiences. my sense of quality certainly has changed over (sewing-) time in general: just some month before it was all about getting finished as soon as possible, especially when trying new (scary) stuff. now i really do enjoy the process and i am even able to let my work sit for some time to get a new perspective or to re-do things.
good.
