i used some of my very favorite fabrics for this..
done, yeah! i really like the concept of value quilts, creating different "areas" through fabric value.
however, this is far (far!) too colorful for me and so it will go to a family with three little boys - they should manage that color-splash :-)
the binding is plain and simple green (a Karstadt fabric, i have a skirt of this, too, very nice color :-) - it´s colorful enough for the top and matches the backing very nicely.
i used up some fabric i have for quite a while: the Paganelli stripes are very pretty, the little flowers hopefully ok for the boys who will use this quilt.
isn´t it amazing how the Jennifer Paganelli stripes match those (unknown) little flowers?? i love that!
i cut the pieces some month ago, and not very good/straight i have to say. the corners hardly match on this quilt.
however, my quilting is getting better, so that´s something. this is my second time trying the diagonal lines and they turned out as straight as they could given all those uneven seams.
and it looks very pretty on this top design.
